Just canceled ClickFunnels, Circle, Webflow, and Notion in the same month $600+ month in SaaS. Gone Spent probably $20k+ on these tools over the years. Was loyal to all of them Manus builds a better funnel in 20 minutes than what I spent hours dragging and dropping in CF. Better design. Better copy. Actually understands the offer SaaS isn't dead. Most people will use these tools forever But there's a growing group of us in this corner of the internet quietly canceling everything and rebuilding it with AI in an afternoon Kinda wild to mass cancel tools I used to think were essential...

The age of the 40-year-old founder is back. Bryant Chou spent 12 years as CTO of Webflow, which now powers something like 1.5% of the entire internet. He's back in the current YC batch with Ploy, an AI marketing platform, and he describes himself as "a bit of a boomer, double the age of the YC founders." But over 13% of his batch is already using his product, within months of launch. There is a side of the argument which destroyed one of the main edges young founders have, which was being faster and cheaper at building.... speed is everyones game. If what's left is knowing what to build this is more likely to come from spending 15 years watching an industry up close, collecting the thousand small frustrations that tell you where the real problem is. Bryant can build an anti-slop website tool because he spent over a decade learning exactly why websites are slop. So I'm updating. I don't think it's young vs. old. I think AI rewards whoever has the most domain knowledge to point it at, and only sometimes is this younger founders who are thinking outside of the box...

holy f***ing shit... ChatGPT Work just logged into my Webflow and canceled my plan for me! I told ChatGPT Work to copy my personal website that was built and hosted on Webflow for 5 years. I liked Webflow, but it is SO annoying and time-consuming to figure out how to add a new text box and not break everything. It literally built the entire thing in 5 minutes and now I can just update it from chat. 100000x easier. So I sent this message thinking it would give me the DNS settings I need to change, and then I could log in and cancel Webflow after I changed the DNS. I came back 25 min later, and it logged into Squarespace, changed all the DNS, and then went and logged into Webflow and CANCELLED my account. Honestly, unbelievable. Scary, and magical. Totally awesome, wild, and a little freaky at the same time lol

Code as the source of truth is what @webflow always should have been, and is a very smart move from a product POV but from a business POV... I'm still not seeing any signs of life. where is the justification for an enterprise to pay $100k/y? and where is the justification for a solo builder to pay $300/yr for hosting? it will be really interesting to see how Webflow tries to pivot - I fully believe this year's Webflow Conf, and what they not only announce, but execute on, will be make or break for the company.

Wait so Webflow laid a ton of people off without them knowing then the CEO posted a public blog article about the company pivoting… But they still hadn’t officially laid off employees internally? Holy cow that’s awful

I just finished the beginner assignment on Webflow University. A few thoughts as someone who’s just getting started: 1. It’s an amazing software. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t go into it sooner. For some reason, I was just comfortable where I was. 2. Being a designer definitely gave me some advantage, but other than that, I think even a non-designer can find the software easy to navigate. 3. One thing I realized is that just because it’s a no-code software doesn’t mean it’s super easy or just a drag-and-drop system. There’s actually a lot of process involved. 4. A lot goes into building a fully functioning website, and this assignment really made me appreciate that. If you’re looking to get into Webflow in 2026, I’d say go for it. Start with Webflow University. They have a lot of courses, from beginner to advanced, and they also have a learning path that ends with a practical certification for beginners.
