German robotics startup Neura Robotics is raising €1B (~$1.2B) at a €4 billion (~$4.6B) valuation. Bloomberg reports the deal includes crypto giant Tether, the issuer of USDT, the world’s most widely used stablecoin. My interview with the CEO from earlier this year:

Why the European Humanoid Robotics market might be overvalued: Chinese robot maker AgiBot was the world’s largest humanoid robot shipper in 2025. And yet, AgiBot is reportedly targeting a valuation of just $5.1–6.4 billion for its upcoming Hong Kong IPO. Compare that with Europe: NEURA Robotics has just raised up to $1.4 billion at a reported valuation of approximately $7 billion, even though it is missing any real world demonstrations. Humanoid raised $152 million at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation even though its first beta robots are only scheduled to enter customer sites in Q4 2026. Why are Chinese valuations so low? Perhaps investors expect the brutal competition in China to destroy margins. AgiBot will not be competing in a winner-takes-all market. It is surrounded by Unitree, UBTECH, Fourier, Galbot and dozens of other increasingly capable companies, fighting aggressively on price similar to the EV startups in Automotive. Ultimately, the European competitors will be up against the more competitive winners of the Chinese market, and there are fewer European companies, which at the same time are valued at higher valuations even though there are more question marks whether or not they even can make it. Makes me think European players might be overvalued and investors are pushing capital into too few opportunities, which may in the end not stand a chance in the real world.

Tether is moving far beyond stablecoins. The crypto giant is leading a massive $1.4 billion Series C funding round in German cognitive robotics firm Neura Robotics. The move marks a major push into the "machine economy," with plans to embed self-custodial crypto wallets directly into humanoid robots. #Tether #CryptoNews

Germany has minted 7 unicorns this year ALREADY - the country is on track for its strongest year in a LONG TIME 2026 it's shaping up to be a huge year for European tech and Germany in particular is having a phenomenal year. So far the country has had seven unicorns minted. Last year there was a total of ten, which means 2026 is likely to surpass 2025. Here are the 7 German unicorns of 2026: > osapiens raised a $100m Series C at $1bn+ valuation > FINN raised a €140m Series D > NEURA Robotics raised a $1.4b Series C at a $7bn valuation > Focused Energy raised a $240m Series A. > Prior Labs got acquired for $1bn > CMBLU Energy, from Peter Geigle, raised a €50m Series C at a $1bn+ valuation > STARK, from Florian Seibel, Uwe Horstmann, and Johannes Schaback has raised two rounds this year and is now valued at €3.2bn AMAZING STUFF. Which company will be next?

Goldman Sachs: Robotics Call Series > Aggressive Market Share Target: Schaeffler aims to secure a market share of >10% by 2030 in the rapidly expanding global humanoid robotics sector. > Explosive Market Growth: Humanoid robot sales volume is projected to multiply by 30x between 2025 and 2030 (reaching 1,000,000 units sold annually). Meanwhile, the bill of material (BOM) cost is expected to decrease by 30% (falling from $50,000 to $33,000). > Massive Component Capture: Schaeffler's core competency products (such as bearings, encoders, torque sensors, and rotary/linear actuators) already comprise at least 50% of a standard humanoid robot's Bill of Materials (BOM). Global Ecosystem & Tactical Partnerships Schaeffler has rapidly embedded itself within the global robotics ecosystem via prominent investments and technology partnerships across major regions: Americas: Executed a $10 million investment in Agility Robotics (November 2024) and has already deployed three "Digit" robots for material handling and logistics in its US plants. Europe: Signed a technology partnership and supply agreement in April 2026 with Neura Robotics to supply rotary actuators and integrate Neura humanoids into Schaeffler's production lines. Asia (China Focus): Signed technology partnerships in early 2026 with prominent regional players including Leju Robot, UBTECH, and Hexagon / Vindynamics. AI & Software Infrastructure: Formed a partnership with NVIDIA to embed AI capabilities across the Omniverse ecosystem. Production Footprint: Establishing the Taicang Humanoid Lighthouse Factory in China to serve as a collaborative baseline platform for the Asian humanoid ecosystem. Commercialization Status > 2026 as Year One: The company notes that 2026 marks the first true year of humanoid commercialization, driven primarily by service applications (e.g., consultants, education, sales assistants), whereas manufacturing applications will take longer due to strict efficiency benchmarks.

🤖🇺🇸🇩🇪🇨🇳 US & GERMAN HUMANOID "DIES" LIVE ON STAGE AT TAIPEI'S TECH EXPO A joint Western project of German hardware from NEURA Robotics & US Dragonwing IQ10 chip from Qualcomm shocked audience when it abruptly collapsed mid-presentation "Live demos involve risk! The robot performed its designed ‘safe-collapse’ sequence, lowering itself to its knees to protect the environment around it. The safety systems worked as intended." — Qualcomm’s official statement LOL! Is that what new Western technologies look like now?...
