$NBIS signs $1B+ compute agreement with Reflection AI, for GB300 access through 2029. Reflection also signed a multi-billion dollar agreement with $SPCX earlier. Interesting to say the least, seeing Nebius drop -5% off the news today. Also... counterparty to get this done kinda reminds me of OpenAI, where they might not have the funds to actually execute on these LTAs yet compared to $META or $MSFT. But generally positive long term developments, customer diversification was one of the core strengths of Nebius.

Boom! SpaceX has signed a major computing power deal with Reflection AI (an open-source AI startup), announced today (June 22, 2026), worth up to ~$6.3 billion. As an owner of the company now, I like this! https://t.co/9MWXfhAaPy

Reminder: most neoclouds are still down 15-30% in the last month. But don't forget what has happened in that short amount of time. - Meta upsized its Louisiana data center from $10B to over $50B, with the full site cost reportedly topping $250B with chips. Then doubled its compute target to 14GW by 2027. - Kimi K3, the hottest model in the world right now, literally paused new subscriptions because there isn't enough compute to serve customers. Rationing demand. In 2026. - OpenAI raised its infrastructure spending plan today to $750 billion through 2030, up from $600B, and broke ground on its first self-built data center, a $20B project in Georgia with 3.2GW of contracted power. - Reflection AI stacked roughly $7B in compute deals across SpaceX and Nebius in under a month because no single provider could supply them. - Nvidia disclosed a 9.3% stake in Nebius. The company with perfect visibility into every order book on earth bought a tenth of a neocloud. - SK Hynix's CEO said memory is sold out beyond 2030. Micron committed $250B to US fabs. Morgan Stanley raised hyperscaler capex to $1.4 trillion by 2028. Every single data point says the same thing, there is not enough compute, and the biggest players on earth are paying anything to get more of it. And the companies whose entire business is renting out compute are 20-30% off their highs. The disconnect is the opportunity.

I’m joining the OSS team at @reflection_ai! 🙏 My life mission has always been to work on open intelligence but there was always a missing piece in my skills: PyTorch taught me the magic of combining Infra knowledge with applied research @joespeez allowed me to be the dumbest person in the room and I learned more from him in those months than all years of my career. It was a total intern feeling and was the happiest I’ve felt in a while. I was convinced that working on OSS infra and applied research should be my next chapter. I’m very grateful to @MishaLaskin and @real_ioannis to allowing me to be a part of the dream To stronger chai and greater learnings at the frontier!

Does this look like a dead company? $NBIS What happened in the last few weeks? June 22 - Added to the Nasdaq-100 index. July 1 - Bloomberg reported Meta is exploring launching its own cloud business to monetize excess AI compute capacity. July 14 - Reflection AI deal: $1B+ multi-year compute agreement. July 15 - Asset-light business model announced. July 15 - New Pennsylvania site disclosed, supporting up to 1.2 GW. July 15 - Raised 2026 capex guidance to $20-25 billion. July 15 - AI Cloud v3.6 launched. July 17 - $775M senior secured loan announced. Did the thesis break, or did it improve?
